Sad news in our community

Announcement received by email

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Evana Maggiore, founder of Fashion Feng Shui® International, on Sunday, February 24, 2013.

As a member of the Fashion Feng Shui® community, you've likely read Evana's notes about her struggle with ovarian cancer over the past few years. Through all of it, she remained strong and positive -- even working on a book that would share what she had learned to help others deal with cancer consciously. She never gave up or gave in to the cruel disease that would ultimately take her from us.

Evana was an internationally recognized Professional Image Consultant, Feng Shui Practitioner and the very first individual to connect the five elements of feng shui to fashion and personal style, creating the transformational dressing technique of Fashion Feng Shui®.

In 2001, Evana established the Love Yourself Project at Rosie's Place, a Boston based shelter and resource center for homeless and poor women, which always held a special place in her generous heart. Designed to introduce holistic therapies to the underprivileged, the Love Yourself Project sponsors educational and experiential activities that pamper the mind, body and spirit.

Evana was an intuitive practitioner, esteemed lecturer and inspiring teacher, bringing her art of Fashion Feng Shui® to people around the world. Above all else she was a beloved wife, cherished mother, loyal friend and compassionate mentor.

Evana touched and impacted so many hearts and lives in her journey and teachings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

It was Evana's wish that Fashion Feng Shui® continue on, and so it shall. We are currently working on a future plan that will continue to bring her vision and work to her much-loved FFS Facilitators and worldwide community. We'll be in touch soon with more information about how that will look going forward.

For now though, we honor with love the life of Evana Maggiore. She will never be forgotten."

She was a lovely lady. Her innovative system was one of the few that recognized the importance of allowing for our intentions as well as our inherent appearance and personality. This is very sad news indeed.
