I'm having a serious dilemma. Maybe more than one. Here it is. Now that I have taken another look at Taylor B. Sinclaire, where Carol Tuttle got most of DYT, I realized why they don't use color. I thought it was a flaw of DYT that they don't check if the 4 types relate at all to your coloring. It's supposed to come deeper than that. So if you're a 4 and you're supposed to wear black and white, but you're warm, that's just a distraction. Hence, color analysis is completely contrary to the idea of dressing your essence. In fact, it just may be a huge, huge distraction. OMG. What to do? Now I have to think, think, think. (never good)
Ultimately, I think, if you feel good about how you look, and you feel like you are expressing the truth of who you are, then other people will respond positively to that.
On the other hand, from a color analysis standpoint, that does not guarantee that what you are wearing will complement your coloring. But that may not matter to you, which is totally okay.
I don't know if it matters or not, that's the dilemma. I haven't been able to use any of these tools to capture that feeling of liking how I look AND expressing who I am, yet.
(((hugs))). I think that means you are still in process or still on the journey. And still free to experiment with anything you think might help create that feeling or experience.
One comment about DYT & the 12 seasons, though. If you are more soft summer than cool summer, that would explain why half a month or more of cool summer didn't quite feel right. Same with not being sure about type 2 vs. type 4. I wonder if feeling sure or settled isn't half the battle.
But I'm wishing that for you, that something soon feels like home!
